ICG Software is a Catalan multinational group that manufactures IT solutions for small, medium and large companies in the hospitality, hotel and retail sectors, from Point of Sale Software to centralized management of chains and franchises. It consists of seven companies with its US subsidiary ICG Software Corporation, USA and has three business divisions (ICG Solutions, HioPOS and CashDro).
The Group was founded in 1985 by its current president, Andreu Pi Pocurull. The headquarters, with factory and R&D center are located in Torrefarrera – Lleida (Catalonia). The Group has 21 international dealerships, is present in more than 70 countries on five continents, and its software solutions are translated into more than 14 different languages.
In 1994, ICG developed the first visual and touch software for the hospitality industry, FrontOffice ICG Restaurants, and in 1995, it designed the first compact touchscreen terminal from a Toshiba laptop, which revolutionized both technological sector such as catering and trade.
In 2013, the ICG Group launched the ICGUniversity Higher Education Program to improve the academic education of undergraduate and graduate students in Hospitality and Tourism. As a result of this project, various agreements have been signed with universities and training centers in Catalonia, Spain, Europe and Latin America.
